Fourth Vail Preventing People From Seeing God

It may be unbelievable but it is true that there are people who profess to be christians that do not see God.What put a vail or the vail on their face is the church doctrines or the church itself that they attend.I do not intend to raise another controversy here but to clearly state unequivocally that their is a wide gap between church doctrines and Bible doctrines. It is possible to have a church doctrine based wholly on Bible doctrines. In fact, this should be the case in every church of Christ.
The Holy Bible must be the basic operational manual of every church. It ought to be followed by every member of church of Christ. It is the roadmap to follow until we reach home, where Jesus has gone to prepare a place for those who are truly His own at His coming.
A careful look at the churches today reveals shocking results. There are doctrins that are not at all rooted in the Word of God.Some doctrines are base on the twisted verses of the Bible.Twisters did(and still do) this to satisfy their selfish interest by exploiting the ignorance of their members or hide their lack of knowledge of the Scripture, among others.
Those who are indoctrinated in such churches can go to any length to defend the church and/doctrines.They will resist any attept to put them on the right Biblical way. They will to any length to prove their faithfulness to the church and her doctrines.Anybody who tries to tell them the truth will be seen as an infidel or an enemy of God.Read this about Jesus Christ in the book of Mark1:21,
“Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the Synagogue and taught.
And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.” New King James Version.
This was an experience with the ‘church’ of God run by the ‘authority’ of man. A man of authority from God, the father entered and a difference manifested.
Reading further from verses twenty-three to twenty-seven shows a suffering man in a lifeless church (synagogue) who was serving God with an unclean spirit in him. The ‘church’ and her doctrines was not concerned or lacks the life giving authority to help him. When the unclean spirit saw Jesus, he trembled and He commanded him to come out of him which he did. People were astonished and said,
“What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.” verse 27.
Churches and their doctrines not rooted in the Bible leads to dissension. The experience of Paul, the Apostke,in Acts23:6-10 is a clear case study.A sect(church) called Sadducees believes “there is no resurrection-and no angel or spirit”.Another sect(church),the Pharisees”confess both”.
There is an interesting statement in verse nine made by the Pharisees that is always the work of many churches today, thus,
“We find no evil in this man(PAUL);but if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him,let us not fight against God.”)Note that these set of people were also persecuting Paul, one of them who was converted by the Lord.At conversion,he became blind to church/doctrines,first for three days and later forever,Acts 9:3-9.
They did not see God because a vail of sect or church/doctrines was covering their face.As it was,so it is.Do you see God?
Let me rest my ‘pen’ here with the prayer to God that He breaks every vail of church and/doctrines preventing people from seeing Him,(Amen).
May we meet with joy next week to discuss the fifth vail by God’s special grace.
