Like Father Like Son

It was discussed in the last write-up,the witness of Jesus Christ as the Son of God,the Father. It was briefly mentioned that DNA of a child proves the fatherhood or otherwise of such a child. A father is,by a DNA result, either ‘excluded’ or ‘excluded’ as the biological father of a named child. A DNA result will not fail to say,’because the analysis shows that they do or do not share a paternanity relationship. This means ‘the analysis shows’ the true position as far as the paternity proof is concerned. No wonder then we say ‘Like father like son’ where the behavioural pattern of a child resembles that of his/her father.
Although it is no longer possible to take a DNA of Jesus Christ and God,the Father presently, but let us analyse the paternal relationship between them based on these seven points.
1. God the Father is a spirit,Jesus Christ the Son is a spirit.Of the Father,we read in John 4:24,
“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
Of the Son,we read in John8:23,
“You come from here below, but I come from above.”
2. Jesus Christ is ageless like the Father.Isaiah 9:6 reads,
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son(Jesus Christ) is given:…and his name shall be called…,The everlasting Father,…” King James Version(words in brackets added)
Be informed or remember that God the Father is the Creator of the world and its contents.Hebrews 13:8 says clearly,
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and for ever.”
3.Both have life in them.John 5:26 says this plainly,
“Even,as the Father is himself the source of life,
in the same way he has made his Son to be the source of life.”
4.They are both holy. The conversation between Angel Gabriel and Mary in Luke 1:31-35 reveals,
“You will become pregnant and give birth to a son,and you will name him Jesus. He will be great and be called the Son of the Most High God….,his kingdom will never end!”
Mary said to the angel,”I am a virgin. How,then, can this be?”
The angel answered:
“The Holy Spirit will come on you,and God’s power will rest upon you.
For this reason the holy child will be called the Son of God.”
Jesus Christ also called Him “O holy Father!” in John 17:11d.
5.Both are loving.John 3:16 discloses,
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only son,so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.”
John 14:21 adds,
“Whoever accepts my commandments and obeys them,he is the one who loves me.My Father will love him who loves me;
I too will love him and reveal myself to him.”
6.Jesus Christ was as hardworking as His Father.Do not forget or be informed that God the Father created everything with the Son in the beginning for six days before they rested on the seventh.John 5:21 has this to say,
“For even as the Father raises the dead back to life,in the same way the Son gives life to those he wants to.”
7.Both are one.John 10:30 says,
“The Father and I are one.”
Jesus Christ was the Word with which the Father created everything that was created.Without Him,nothing was created.Read John 1:1-4 to conform.
Will you contest the result of a DNA test? I am sure you won’t.These seven points should be enough for you that the paternity of Jesus Christ is not in dispute.Meet you next week,by God’s grace, for the third Witness.Stay blessed and rapturable!
