Dangerous Ratios, Reason Five: The Voice Of Men.

Thank God, we have discussed the Voice of a Woman. Do you know that it is not that women are ‘bad’ people? God has reasons for creating them. They are to play strong roles in the plan of God.
As heeding the voice of a woman can lead one away from the kingdom of God, so is heeding the voice of a man sometimes. No gainsaying the fact that doing so can spell doom.
No alternative to God’s voice. Any other voice that works against God’s, will deny you the right to inherit the kingdom of God.
Heeding the voice of men was another factor that contributed to the total fall of the first king in Israel, King Saul. It permanently ruined his relationship with God. He forever regreted it. He was not left alone, almost everyone heeds the voice of men. That is why the ratio is 1000:1:0 and is dangerous for the kingdom minded. That is, one man out of one thousand and no woman among a thousand. The voice of the Lord for Saul to heed says,
‘ I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he
ambushed him on the
way when he came up from Egupt.
Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly
destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill
both man and woman
, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep,
camel and donkey.’ I Samuel 15:2-3.
In ‘obedience’, he gathered his men and attacked the people of Amalek. The Lord that commanded him gave victory to the king of Israel. It is sad to read that the king did not tatally obey God’s commands.
‘He also took Agag king of the Amalekites alive,… But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of
the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs
, and all that was good, and were unwilling to untterly
destroy them. But everything despised
and worthless, that they utterly destroyed.’ 1 Samuel 15:8-9.
At the end of the mission work, the report did not please the Lord and His prophet, Samuel. In verses nine, fifteen and twenty-one, we read about what ‘the people’ or ‘the men’ with king Saul did.
It was ‘the people’ who influenced king Saul to disobey the voice of the Lord. In the words of king Saul, he said,
‘I have sinned, for I
have trangressed the commandment of the Lord and your (Samuel’s) words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.’ 1Samuel15:24
The commonest and unsafe routes that mankind takes which began in the garden of Eden was also taken by king Saul: excuses and buckpassing! They never helped and will never as far as God’s kindom matters are concerned. There is no partiality with the Lord.Mankind may be partial, but the Lord our God will not
Therefore, will you allow the voice of men to prevent you from obeying the voice of the Lord?
No excuse will help you. No amount of buckpassing will bail you out. Only heed the voice of the Lord. Only then can you be found among those who are on their way to eternal life. Do not let the fear of ‘the people’ push you to act contrary to the will of God.
Let me reiterate it here that everyone will encounter the problem of ‘the people’s voice. Only yield to the voice of the Holy Spirit of God, you will not fulfill the lust of the people (flesh). Prepare and be determined to reach the kingdom of God. Stay blessed and rapturable.
