An Army General Was Corrected

It is a very dangerous thing to allow your position to intoxicate you. It can close windows and doors of great benefits.

The Head of a Syrian army benefited from correction.

The Man, Naaman.
He was the head of Syrian army in Bible days. Victory was given over nations to the king of Syria and his people by the hand of this army general.

Do you think a person of this might needs to be corrected? He was!

This man had a plague that troubled his life. It was leprosy. This was a serious blemish. As powerful as he was in battle, he could not win his “leprosy battle”.

However on a notable day, a prophet in Israeli was recommended and he willingly went to visit Prophet Elisha.

A sue way of getting him healed was sent through a servant of the man of God,
“Go and wash in Jordan seven times and thy flesh shall be clean.”

These words did not go down well with Naaman. He was terribly infuriated and decided to go away without doing what was expected of him to receive a miracle.

It was at this juncture that his servants corrected him with
“My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, would thou not have done it? How much rather then when he saith ti thee , wash, and be clean?”

What was his reaction?

He agreed to be corrected. He followed the instructions of the Prophet, he washed in Jordan seven times and “his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.”

Can you see the great benefits of beige corrected by this Armiy General’s servant, his subordinate? Can you also be corrected by someone “inferior” to you? It can benefit you.
Sray bkessed and rapturable, the Lord is coming soon!
