To be ready for corrections is not an end on its own. Readiness signifies availability for a change and this is good.
However, it is not every correction that must be taken. Do I sound self-contradictory? Wait a minute!
Every correction must be carefully considered before you act on it. It is not the position of the person that corrects you that matter but the HEART with which he does it.
You should look into his heart to see love in it. Selfishness must not be there at all. A correction to take to must be for your gain and not for loss. It must be for your good one way or the other. The person who corrects you must be a seeker of your welfare.
Note that a correction may be for mutual benefits. There is no wrongdoing in this.
Therefore, whoever wants to correct you must be someone who wish you well, irrespective of his status.
The Holy Bible says,
“Let the righteous strike me;
It shall be a kindness.
And let him rebuke me;
It shall be an excellent oil;
Let not my hand refuse it.
For still my prayer is against the deeds of the wicked.”
This should be your declaration as well.
Stay blessed and rapturable; the Lord is coming soon. Please, prepare to meet Him.
Psalm 141:5 quoted above is from New King James Version of the Holy Bible.
